JEFFERSON/SCOTT COUNTY, Ind.— Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving Inc. plans to begin work next week on a $3.7 million asphalt resurface project on S.R. 56 in Jefferson and Scott Counties.
On or after Monday, August 1, motorists should anticipate lane closures with flagging between S.R. 62 near Hanover and the north junction of S.R. 3 near Blocher as crews complete patching, milling and paving.
The contract was awarded in February and has a completion date of October 31, 2022. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change
