This is just one event that the Attorney General will be raising awareness

FRANKFORT, Ky. (February 16, 2023) – Attorney General Daniel Cameron and Kentucky Venues CEO David S. Beck today joined forces to raise awareness about human trafficking during the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville. Kentucky Venues will partner with the Attorney General’s Office by featuring a one-minute video designed to help Kentuckians recognize and report the signs of human trafficking in Kentucky.

In preparation for the Kentucky State Fair, Kentucky Venues will also partner with the Attorney General’s Office to train employees to recognize and report the signs of human trafficking. This is the second training Attorney General Cameron’s office has provided for Kentucky Venues as part of the ongoing ‘Your Eyes Save Lives’ statewide human trafficking awareness campaign.

“We are pleased to partner with Kentucky Venues CEO David S. Beck to raise awareness about the dangers of human trafficking at the National Farm and Machinery Show and educate Kentucky Venues employees interacting with potentially millions of visitors at the Kentucky State Fair on how to respond,” said Attorney General Cameron.  “Human trafficking is a problem in Kentucky, and it will take all of us working together to put an end to it.”

“Our team at the Kentucky Exposition Center and Kentucky International Convention Center interact with millions of guests each year and we are eager to participate in putting an end to human trafficking in the Commonwealth,” said David S. Beck, president & CEO of Kentucky Venues. “We appreciate the continued support and resources made available by Attorney General Cameron’s office to assist our team in this effort.”

The Your Eyes Saves Lives campaign was launched in 2021 by Attorney General Cameron and mobilizes citizens, law enforcement, community leaders to recognize and report the signs of human trafficking. The campaign was funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services.

The National Farm Machinery Show, held at the Kentucky Exposition Center from February 15-18 is the nation’s largest indoor agricultural trade show and attracts over 300,00 attendees and exhibitors to 27 acres of exhibit space, industry seminars, and more over a span of four days.

To report suspected human trafficking, dial 911 in an emergency or, in a non-emergency, call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888. To learn more about the Your Eyes Save Lives campaign and the most common signs of human trafficking, click here
