On October 19, 2018, the Hanover Police Department located a card skimmer at the Hanover BP, upon receiving a report of a person being alerted about fraudulent activity on their card.
If you notice any fraudulent activity on your debit or credit card, please contact your financial institution, as well as, your local police department.
Helpful information in aiding law enforcment to investigate these types of crimes is:
*Date, time, and location you feel your card was compromised
*Gas station pump number
*Credit or Debit Card 16-Digit Number (Card Should Be Cancelled By Customer at This Point)
*A detailed billing statement showing information about the fraudulent transaction
As always, we encourage you to report any and all suspicious activity to your local law enforcement agency.
