September 7, 2023, Troopers from the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post began investigating a single vehicle crash in eastern Jackson County that sent a Clark County, Indiana man to an Indianapolis hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The initial investigation by Trooper Korry Clark indicated that shortly after 9:00 am yesterday, a black 2001 Toyota pickup truck being driven by Logan M. Light, age 31, Charlestown, Indiana was traveling southbound on US 31 near County Road 50 North in Jackson County.  For an unknown reason, Light’s vehicle crossed the northbound lanes of US 31 and left the east side of the roadway.

The investigation by Trp. Clark is ongoing.  Toxicology results are pending at this time.

Trp. Clark was assisted at the scene by other troopers from the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post, deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Vernon Township Fire Department, Jackson County EMS, and Coomer’s Wrecker Service.
