(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A Cincinnati man is facing charges in Dearborn County after an altercation that took place Sunday at the Hollywood Casino hotel in Lawrenceburg.

Russell Brinck, 40, has been charged with Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon (Level 5 Felony), Disorderly Conduct (Class B Misdemeanor), and Public Intoxication (Class B Misdemeanor).

According to a probable cause affidavit, Brinck was seen on security footage removing a handgun from his backpack and walking towards a male subject while holding the firearm.

A short time later, Brinck exited the hotel. He was taken into custody at the intersection of St. Claire Street and Hollywood Boulevard.

While being read his Miranda rights, Brinck allegedly stated, "Some guy was talking s*** to me and I pulled my gun. He started talking s*** to me the second I walked in, he followed me down to the hotel, and I pulled my gun."

While speaking with Brinck, officers say they detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person. During a search of Brinck's backpack, officers say they located a black Springfield Armory Hellcat 9mm handgun with an optic mounted on top. One live round was found in the chamber.

Brinck is scheduled to have his initial appearance in Dearborn County Court on Tuesday.
