City Of Madison COVID Testing Site Extends Through November

Residents are able to be tested free of charge, without appointments, symptoms, insurance, or a doctor's note.

(Madison, Ind.) – The City of Madison will be extending its free COVID-19 diagnostic testing site until November 30.

This testing site opened in July and according to Madison Mayor Bob Courtney, the site has already tested many Jefferson County residents.

Residents are able to be tested free of charge, without appointments, symptoms, insurance, or a doctor's note.

Managed by OptumServe a division of the Indiana State Department of Health and follows all CDC safety guidelines.

Hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The site will be closed each day from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to provide meal breaks for the staff. While walk-ins will be accepted, residents are encouraged to register for testing online.

  • LHI.Care/covidtesting is the preferred method for registering and requesting appointments. It is available 24/7. 
  • The Call Center is only available during the test site hours of operation for select residents that do not have internet access. The phone number is 888-634-1116.
  • Appointments are encouraged; patients arriving at the event site without a scheduled appointment will be registered by event staff upon arrival at the facility.

The testing center is located at Senior Center located at 208 W. Main St. Madison, IN 47250.
