City Of Madison Fire Department Reminding Resident To Check Fire Alarm Batteries

The fire department is also reminding residents that it is also important to clean out chimneys if you have one.

(Madison, Ind.) – The City of Madison Fire Department is reminding residents that it is important to always check your smoke detectors and the batteries in your smoke detector. 

Home fires claim lives every day but having working smoke alarms can help reduce the risk of death by warning residents of a fire, allowing them to escape safely.

The fire department is also reminding residents that it is also important to clean out chimneys if you have one.

The City Fire Department will provide and install a free smoke alarm for any Madison resident living in a single-family or two-family residence.
