City of Madison Fire Respond To Garage Fire

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

(Madison, Ind.) – The City of Madison Fire and Police Department responded to an active fire at the 1700 Block of Orchard Street for the report of a vehicle fire in an attached garage.

Upon the arrival of crews, they reported that the garage was fully engulfed.

The resident and her dog were able to evacuate the residence prior to the arrival of fire crews. The main fire damage was contained to the garage area and the fire was brought under control in approximately 20 minutes.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
