Grant paperwork is due by October 30th

Madison, Indiana (October 5, 2023) – On September 5, 2023, the City of Madison Redevelopment Commission committed an additional $100,000 to the Preservation and Community Enhancement (PACE) Grant Program to allow for another round of funding in 2023 for two categories.
The PACE grant committee will hold a meeting to review new applications on November 14, 2023, at 5:30 PM. Applications for this round are due to the Office of Planning, Preservation, and Design by 3 PM on October 30, 2023. Due to the limited amount of funds, applications will be restricted to the following:
- Applications for a Dilapidated structures Grant
- Applications for a Dangerous Buildings Grant
“The PACE Program has been an invaluable economic driver of historic preservation in our city. On average the investment is five to six times the amount of the grant which is one of our most effective and impactful tools to eliminate blight and preserve the beauty of our community,” said Madison’s Mayor Bob Courtney.
PACE will resume accepting all applications for funding requests for their first regularly scheduled meeting in January 2024. Applications for the regular funding cycle are due to the Office of Planning, Preservation, and Design by 3 PM on December 4, 2023.
