Investigation is ongoing and potential future charges are possible
SELLERSBURG, Ind.- Indiana State Police arrested a Clark County man Thursday for possession of child sexual abuse material.
The investigation began in July 2025, when detectives with the Indiana State Police, Internet Crimes Against Children section, initiated a criminal investigation after receiving information about a person suspected of possessing child sexual abuse material. Using investigative techniques, along with resources provided by the Child Rescue Coalition, detectives identified the suspect as Adam Metzger, a 40-year-old male residing in Sellersburg, Indiana. On Thursday, Detectives served search warrants on Metzger’s residence as part of their ongoing investigation.
Following their search, Adam Metzger was preliminarily arrested for two counts of Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material, each a level 5 felony. Officers transported Metzger to the Clark County Jail following his arrest. This investigation is ongoing and potential future charges are possible.
The Indiana ICAC Task Force is a multiagency task force that investigates and prosecutes persons who use the internet to exploit or entice children sexually. The Indiana State Police oversees the task force.
