Closure will begin March 30th and run thru May weather depending motorist are asked to use an alternate route

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ind. - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor 5 Star Company, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 7 just north of Clifty Drive (S.R. 62) on or after Monday, March 30, to complete a box culvert replacement project in Jefferson County.
The closure will take place between Crozier Avenue and Magnolia Avenue and is expected to be complete in early May, weather permitting. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows S.R. 62 to S.R. 256 to S.R. 3.
This work is part of a $1.5 million contract awarded to 5 Star in December 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
