Plan closure is set for up to seven weeks

JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Paul H. Rohe Company is scheduled to close Sate Road 7 just south of Vernon on or after Monday, May 20, to begin a small structure replacement project in Jennings County.
The closure will take place just south of the S.R. 7 and S.R. 3 junction and is expected to take up to seven weeks, weather permitting. Crews will begin to place signage in the area prior to the start of construction. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows S.R. 3 to S.R. 256 to S.R. 62.
This project is part of a contract awarded to Paul H. Rohe in September 2023. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
