Date Announced For 2021 Cruisin' To A Cure For ALS Car Show

The 5th annual show will be taking place in downtown Lawrenceburg.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – It has been announced that the 5th annual Cruisin' to a Cure for ALS car show will be returning to downtown Lawrenceburg.

Lawrenceburg High School graduate, Logan Lawrence started this event his Junior year of high school in memory of my grandfather Carlos Lawrence who passed away from ALS in 2009.

Last year’s show had over 600 cars in attendance raising over $26,000 for the ALS Association Indiana Chapter. The chapter will use the money to help find a cure for the currently incurable disease and to help aid families of patients who are currently fighting.

This event has already raised nearly $92,000 for ALS. Lawrence’s goal for this year is to make the car show the "biggest and best one yet" hoping to raise $30,000 for the year making the combined total surpass $100,000.

The car show will be taking place on May 2, 2021.

If it has wheels it is welcome it enter the show whether it is a classic car or truck, custom build, racecar, motorcycle, etc.

You can enter the show early with a discounted fee of $15 until April 15 or you can also enter the show from 9:00 a.m. until noon the day of for $20.

“There will be 20 specialty trophies awarded, top 25 modern (91 and newer), top 50 classic (90 and older), top 5 racecars, top 3 bikes, $500 awarded to the best of the show, $200 to the farthest distance traveled which in past years has been Connecticut and Florida, and one person that enters early will be drawn to win $300 cash, and a live auction will be open to the public just before awards with tools, antiques, custom signs, memorabilia, and much more,” said Lawrence.

This event is free to the public, and free-will donations will be accepted.
