Death Investigation Underway Near North Vernon

Forest Grove Lane in the Country Squire Lakes

Yesterday, September 17th, shortly after 7:30 pm, the Indiana State Police responded to Forest Grove Lane in the Country Squire Lakes Subdivision near North Vernon, Indiana after a body was located in a lake.

 

At this time, the deceased white adult male remains unidentified and the cause of death is unknown. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed today in Seymour, Indiana to attempt to determine a cause of death and the identity of the victim.

 

Anyone with information about the possible identity of the victim or any other information about this investigation is urged to call Detective Jason Duncan, Indiana State Police-Versailles Post (812) 689-5000.

 

The Indiana State Police is being assisted by the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana Conservation Officers, and Jennings County Coroner’s Office.
