Deceased Subject Found, North Vernon Police Department Now Seeking Assistance

At this point, the person's identity is not being released due to pending next of kin notifications.

(North Vernon, Ind.) – North Vernon Police Department is in need of public assistance in locating a vehicle that is determined to be connected to a deceased subject located early Monday morning.

Officers with the North Vernon Police responded to the area of City Park just south of FDR Drive when a concerned citizen observed a person lying in the grass behind a nearby business.

Upon arrival, officers determined that the person was deceased.

At this point, the person's identity is not being released due to pending next of kin notifications. Officers are currently seeking assistance to locate the vehicle pictured above, as to it is possibly involved.
