Despite Some Rain Burn Bans Still In Effect

Several runs made during the ban

Despite getting some light rain this morning, the first measurable rain since August 26th, the burn bans will continue till further notice in Jefferson, Trimble, Switzerland and Gallatin Counties locally.

According to Madison Township Fire Chief Robert Black Jefferson Co. fire crews have responded to close to 14 calls since the ban took effect.

Hanover Volunteer Fire Department called out yesterday afternoon for a fire on the 53-hundred block of SR 62.
