By Scott County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff Jerry Goodin

Stolen mini-bike also recovered

On July 30, 2019, in the evening hours, a deputy with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office clocked a vehicle on State Road # 3 in the Lexington area at a very high rate of speed.

As the deputy turned to attempt to stop the vehicle, (a blue Dodge truck), it fled. The deputy pursued the vehicle, which turned out to be stolen out of Clark County. The stolen vehicle crashed off of Leslie Lane after it attempted to leave the roadway to allude the pursuing deputy. When the vehicle crashed, the driver fled on foot.

The driver, a white male, is still at large at this time.

A stolen mini-bike was also recovered from the bed of the stolen truck.

Anyone with information on who the fleeing driver could be is encouraged to call the Scott County Sheriff’s Office at 812-752-8400.
