Improvement water and sewer infrastructure

This week, the City of Madison Redevelopment Commission entered into an Economic Development Agreement with Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County to complete the infrastructure extension of Beech Grove Street along with water and sewer infrastructure. The developer intends to build 6 homes no smaller than 1200SF by June 2025, in addition to finishing three houses on Green Road with paved driveways.
The Redevelopment Commission will be contributing $150,000 to the infrastructure improvements. As this improves the quality of life in our community, the City, at the time of completion, will mill and pave Beech Grove Street and replace/repair the existing sidewalks.
"We desire to foster economic development and housing in Madison, and this partnership is another exciting step in accomplishing our economic growth and opportunity goals. We are proud of Habitat for Humanity's work in Jefferson County and are honored to join in their cause of bringing more affordable housing to our community," said Madison's Mayor Bob Courtney.
