FARMERS BANK OF MILTON ANNOUNCES NEIL BRYAN RETIREMENT

Effective 10-1-2021 Neil S. Bryan retired from his position as President and CEO of the Farmers Bank of Milton. Mr. Bryan joined the bank on December 30, 1990 replacing L.D. Chapman upon his retirement. During his tenure the bank has experienced unprecedented growth, earnings and stability. At the inception of his employment, Farmers Bank was a $40 million-dollar, one location financial institution. At his retirement, that bank has expanded to become a $306,000,000 bank operating five offices in Kentucky and Indiana. The bank was also awarded and has maintained rating agency Bauer Financials highest 5-Star designation for Safety and Soundness. Mr. Bryan has also been noteworthy on the state level. He has held a number of positions with the Kentucky Bankers Association. He served as President of Group V, Chairman of the Retail Credit Committee and served on the Board of Directors of the organization. In 2013, he became the only Trimble County banker to lead the Kentucky Bankers Association in its 130-year existence when he was elected Chairman. He is currently a Trustee of the KBA Health Care Trust. Prior to coming to Farmers Bank of Milton, Mr. Bryan was President/CEO of Bedford Loan & Deposit Bank in Bedford, KY, where he began his banking career on 9/3/1973. Mr. Bryan will remain President/CEO of the bank’s holding company, Farmers Financial Corporation. He continues to serve on the Board of Directors of both the bank and the holding company while working a limited schedule handling the bank’s investment portfolio. Executive Vice President and COO David A. Hertz succeeds Mr. Bryan as President and CEO of Farmers Bank.
