Fatal Single Vehicle Accident On SR 56 In Switzerland Co.

Ran off road and struck a pole

Wednesday afternoon around 1:30, Switzerland Co. Sheriff's Deputies responded to a single vehicle fatal accident on SR 56 approximately 2.5 miles west of Vevay.

The driver, 69-year-old Alan Harris of Vevay was killed as a result of the crash.

Deputies said his truck left the roadway, struck a utility pole and rolled.

Harris was the only occupant in the vehicle.
