First Sports Bet Made At Belterra Sportsbook

Former Cincinnati Bengal makes first wagger

 A Cincinnati Bengals legend had the honor of placing the first sports bet at Belterra Casino Resort in Switzerland County.

The new FanDuel Sportsbook at opened Monday at the riverboat in Florence, Indiana, with former Bengals quarterback Ken Anderson putting down a $100 bet for the Bengals to defeat the San Francisco 49ers in Cincinnati's 2019 home opener next Sunday.

According to Belterra Casino Resort owner Boyd Gaming, "FanDuel’s new sports-betting retail location is conveniently located near the main entrance of Belterra’s casino floor. The FanDuel Sportsbook features five betting windows, 14 video displays including a large video wall, 13 self-service IGT PlaySports betting kiosks and a sports ticker. FanDuel provides its proprietary risk and trading technology that leverages the IGT PlaySports platform. The FanDuel Sportsbook features bets on all major U.S. sports, including baseball, soccer, football, basketball, golf, boxing, motorsports racing, and more."

Sports betting became legal in Indiana on September 1. Many of the state’s casinos have opened sportsbooks, or plan to soon, in hopes of capturing new revenue.
