(Dillsboro, Ind.) - Friendship Insurance and Indiana Farmers Insurance today announced a donation to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southeastern Indiana.

“We are excited to make this contribution,” said Tom Lewis, Friendship Insurance Sales Manager. “The Child Advocacy Center does tremendous work to help kids dealing with abuse, neglect, or assault. It’s our honor to help out.”

“Friendship Insurance and Indiana Farmers Insurance have been business partners for 20 years,” said Melissa Droste, field marketing manager at Indiana Farmers Insurance. “The agency is a member of our President’s Club, a group of the best and most successful agents in the state.”

Members of the President’s Club usually gather from around the state for an annual banquet where milestones and successes are celebrated. This year, members were offered monetary gifts to share with one of their local nonprofit organizations since they were unable to gather in person this year. Lewis immediately knew that he wanted to give these funds to the CAC making an impact throughout Southeastern Indiana and headquartered in his hometown of Dillsboro.

Lewis presented the check to the CAC Associate Director Kelly Bridges Thursday, September 3. Bridges shared about their in-school presentations, important connections made with children there, and how they have been able to assist more children now that school is back in session.
