Gov. Beshear Gives Kentucky Unemployment Insurance Update

Going forward the company expected to resolve 4,00 claims per day.

(Frankfort, Ky.) - During yesterday's media briefing, Governor Andy Beshear announced that the contracted company Ernst & Young (EY) has processed 10.365 outstanding unemployment claims as of July 15. 

Ernst and Young have increased working hours from eight to 10 hours per day and also began working on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., going forward the company expected to resolve 4,00 claims per day. 

“As you all know, unemployment insurance has been difficult – most of all, of course, for those who have struggled to get it,” said Gov. Beshear. “But EY getting more and more efficient. Remember to answer the phone when they call. The number is 502-333-9130.”
