Hoosiers Can Find Cooling Centers by Using Indiana 2-1-1

Cooling centers are open across the state to combat high heat this week.

With extreme heat expected this week in Indiana, cooling centers will be open across the state.

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration is reminding Hoosiers they can call 2-1-1 or 866-211-9966 to find their nearest cooling center.

Indiana 211 is your community's resource for updated locations and hours of cooling centers in your area. To see a list of current cooling centers CLICK HERE.

In southeast Indiana, the combination of heat and humidity will result in maximum heat indices from the mid 90’s to around 100 Tuesday through Friday.
