Hoxworth Blood Center Postpones Holy Grail/ MEMI Blood Drive

Blood drives scheduled inside of a building will continue as planned and all Neighborhood Donor Centers will remain open.

(Cincinnati, OH.) - In order to maintain proper social distancing and comply with the recommendations from Governor Dewine, at this time, Hoxworth Blood Center is postponing all blood drive to held on donor buses.

Blood drives scheduled inside of a building will continue as planned and all Neighborhood Donor Centers will remain open.

The Holy Grail/MEMI blood drive scheduled for this Friday, March has been postponed. We will announce a rescheduled date once it is determined.

Hoxworth asks if you are healthy and able to donate blood to please do so. To find a location of a Hoxworth neighborhood donor center please visit: hoxworth.org/donors/locations.html or call 513-451-0910.

Hoxworth would like you to know not to be afraid to donate, the blood supply is safe, and it is safe to donate. Donors must be in good health. People with any fever, cough or cold symptoms should not come to a blood drive. All donors are screened to ensure they are feeling well.

Hoxworth has increased infection control measures, including social distancing, to ensure the safety of donors. Health Officials have deemed blood donation as an essential act. Therefore, individuals are permitted to travel to blood drives and neighborhood donor centers during the Stay at Home order.
