Jefferson County Covid 19 Testing Site Set To Close

State has set a state wide ending date

[Madison, IN] The Jefferson County Community Testing Site located at Norton King’s Daughters’ Health Convenient Care, 445 Clifty Drive, Madison, Indiana 47250, will be closed effective July 1, 2022.

TESTING UPDATE The Jefferson County Community Testing Site was made available by grant funding through the Indiana Department of Health. The Indiana Department of Health has set a state-wide ending date for all state-funded testing sites. Jefferson County Community Testing Site has a contracted end-date of June 30, 2022.

The Jefferson County Health Department would like to extend sincere gratitude to KDH for their partnership and their service to the community through the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

June 30, 2022, will be the last testing day. Please contact your personal health care provider to inquire about testing starting July 1, 2022.

Americans are still able to order at-home, rapid COVID-19 tests for free, to be delivered to their home. Tests can be ordered by visiting www.covidtests.gov, tests will typically ship in 7 to 12 days of ordering.

Private health insurance companies are required to cover at-home COVID-19 tests, individuals should check with their private insurance for information.

The Jefferson County Health Department has at-home COVID-19 tests available to the Jefferson County community starting Monday, June 27, 2022. Tests will be distributed based on the number of people in the household. These tests are for home use and will not be administered at the Jefferson County Health Department or by any Jefferson County Health Department employees.

VACCINATION UPDATE The Jefferson County Health Department will continue to offer all Jefferson County residents and visitors COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters. Please call 812-273-1942 to schedule an appointment or walk-ins are also accepted Monday-Friday 9am-3pm through June 30,2022.

Starting July 1, 2022, COVID-19 vaccination and booster appointments will be required. Appointments times for all vaccinations and health care services offered by the Jefferson County Health Department are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9am-3pm.
