The collision is still under investigation.

(Jefferson County, Ind.) – At approximately 7:08 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, Jefferson County Central Dispatch received a report of a motor vehicle accident that involved two vehicles.
Upon arrival to the scene, in the 5000 block of US Highway 421, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Indiana State Police Accident Reconstruction Team.
It was also determined that the accident was fatal and included serious bodily injury.
The Jefferson County Coroner pronounced 35-year-old Robert Ray Goins Jr., of Madison deceased at the scene. 23-year-old Nathaniel T. Farris, of Madison was taken from the scene for medical treatment.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Indiana State Police, Hanover Police Department, Madison Township VFD, Madison Fire Department, KDH EMS, and Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
The collision is still under investigation.
