Red Travel Restriction Issued for Jefferson County

Jefferson County Commissioners and the Mayor of Madison have consulted with the Plow crews and Law Enforcement. All of Jefferson County has been placed under a Travel Restriction of WARNING or RED level. Only essential travel to and from work or emergency travel only.

County and City Plow Crews have been out all morning, snow is falling faster than they can keep up with. Thank you for staying home and allowing plow crews to work.

National Weather Service advises: Snow will continue through tonight then switch to sleet and early Monday morning change back to snow with 2 to 4 inches predicted
