Jennings Co. Couple Arrested Following Served Warrant

Further investigation in the home led to the discovery of approximately 19 grams of methamphetamine.

(Jennings County, Ind.) - On Tuesday, January 19, at approximately 5:30 p.m. deputies with the Jennings County Sheriff's Office went to a residence in the Paris Crossing area in an attempt to locate 40-year-old Jennifer Hardesty who was wanted on an outstanding Jennings County Felony Warrant.

Upon arrival at her residence, Deputy Thomas Mellencamp made contact with Ms. Hardest and her husband 40-year-old Wilbur Hardesty. 

Further investigation in the home led to the discovery of approximately 19 grams of methamphetamine, a controlled substance, paraphernalia, and marijuana. The two were then taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jennings County Jail where they were remanded to jail staff. 

The two were arrested on the following alleged charges of:

Wilbur Hardesty:

  • Possession of 10 or more grams of Methamphetamine (level 4 felony)
  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance (level 6 felony)
  • Possession of Controlled Substance (class a misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Marijuana (class b misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Paraphernalia (class c misdemeanor)

Jennifer Hardesty:

  • Possession of 10 or more grams of Methamphetamine (level 4 felony)
  • Possession of Controlled Substance (class a misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Marijuana (class b misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Paraphernalia (class c misdemeanor)
  • Jennings County Felony Warrant
