(Madison, Ind.) - In cooperation with the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), the Jefferson County Health Department, and the Switzerland County Health Department, King’s Daughters’ Health is hosting COVID-19 testing sites in Madison and Vevay. Free testing appointments begin Tuesday, September 8 at each location.

Testing is available to all members of the public who live or work in Indiana regardless of symptoms, including children as young as two years with parental consent. Individuals should bring proof of Indiana residency, such as a state-issued ID (driver’s license), an Indiana work ID, or a utility bill. KDH encourages participants to schedule an appointment in advance by using the state’s coronavirus website: scheduling.coronovirus.in.gov. Those needing a walk-in or drive-in appointment may register upon arrival.

In Madison, testing is available at the KDH Convenient Care Center, 445 Clifty Drive. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Testing is not available on Sundays. Guests arriving for COVID tests should park in the south parking lot via Cragmont Street (behind the Convenient Care Center building) and enter through the identified entrance. Testing results generally take three to five days to arrive. Anyone with questions may contact the KDH Convenient Care Center at 812.273.5372.

In Vevay, testing is available through the office of Dr. Scott Frede at the Switzerland County Medical Building, 1190 West Main Street. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended hours are available until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. Saturday testing is available from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of each month. Guests should park in one of the designated parking spots upon arrival and call the number on the sign. A member of the KDH team will come to the guest’s vehicle to complete the test. Results generally take three to five days to arrive. Those with questions regarding the Vevay location may call 812.801.8707.

Anyone with active symptoms of COVID-19 is encouraged to call his or her personal care provider (physician/nurse practitioner) or call the KDH COVID-19 Hotline at 812.801.8010 for further instructions.

State of Indiana testing is made possible through a grant from the Indiana Department of Health to ensure that community testing is available anywhere there is a need. The grant provides all testing supplies and equipment, including test kits, personal protective equipment (PPE), sanitizer and the platform for registration and data management.
