Kentucky State Police Arrest Kentucky State Reformatory Employee

(LaGrange, Ky.) - On Friday April 02, 2021, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 5 in Campbellsburg was contacted by Kentucky State Reformatory (KSR) requesting assistance with an employee they suspected was bringing in unauthorized nicotine and prescription medication into the facility. The employee has been identified as 33 year old James Adam Emberson. As part of the investigation a firearm was located in Mr. Emberson's personal vehicle, which was located on KSR property. 

James Emberson was taken into custody by troopers and transported to the Oldham County Detention Center. He has been charged with Promoting Contraband-1st Degree, Promoting Contraband-2nd Degree, and Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container 1st Offense. The investigation remains ongoing by Post 5 Troopers.
