Kentucky State Police Conduct Death and Fire Investigation in Trimble County

Trimble County, Ky.  –The Bedford Fire Department responded to South Carlisle Road in Trimble County on Thursday May 15, 2025 for a structure fire.  Through the course of their duties, the fire department discovered an unidentified deceased human body inside the residence.  The Trimble County Sheriff's Office responded and requested Kentucky State Police Post 5 to conduct the investigation.

The unidentified human remains have been transported to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy, toxicology and for identification.  This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by KSP Post 5.  KSP was assisted on scene by Bedford Fire, Trimble County Coroner Office, Trimble County Sheriff's Office, Trimble County EMS and the state Fire Marshall.
