Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Collision in Trimble County

He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

(Bedford, Ky.) - The Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg are investigating the death of a Trimble County man as a result of a single-vehicle collision. 

On Sunday, September 20, just after 1:00 p.m. James Lawrence Leatherbury II, 47, of Milton was operating a 2005 Jeep Wrangler on Mount Pleasant Road, near the intersection of Connor's Ridge Road in Trimble County. 

Then for reasons at this time. the vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment before overturning. Leatherbury was ejected from the vehicle during the collision. 

Leatherbury was transported by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries sustained as a result of the collision. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
