Kentucky State Police Investigating Skeletal Remains Located in Carroll County

Carroll County, Ky. (02/12/2024) –On Monday February 12, 2024 Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg was contacted at approximately 5:18 pm by the Carroll County Sheriff's Office requesting assistance in reference to skeletal remains that were located.  The skeletal remains were located on a bank of the Ohio River in Carroll County near Ghent.

Detective Dave Roberts responded to the scene and located the remains.  The remains will be transported to the Louisville Medical Examiners Office.  This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Kentucky State Police Post 5.  KSP Post 5 was assisted on scene by the Carroll County Sheriff's, Carroll County Emergency Management, and the Carroll County Coroner.
