Kentucky State Police Make Arrest After Pursuit That Began In Indiana

He was being pursued because of several charges out of Indiana

                                         

MILTON, Ky. (06/23/2023) –On Friday June 23, 2023 Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg received a call from the Madison Indiana Police Department requesting assistance with an active vehicle pursuit.  The pursuit was heading towards Milton KY in Trimble County.  It was reported to KSP dispatch the subject that was fleeing was the subject of a Domestic Violence and Kidnapping investigation in Indiana. 

KSP Troopers responded to the Milton area.  The suspect vehicle was observed entering Kentucky at a high rate of speed via the Milton/Madison bridge.  A tire deflation device was successfully deployed in an attempt to end the pursuit.  The vehicle continued to flee traveling on Highway 421 as the tires were deflating. 

After traveling approximately 3 miles the subject stopped the vehicle at which time he exited and fled on foot.  A short time later he was apprehended by KSP and was taken into custody. 

The operator of the vehicle was identified as James Ingram of Bedford Indiana.  Mr. Ingram was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 1st (Motor Vehicle), Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest and other charges in Kentucky.
