Kentucky State Police Post 5 Investigates Drowning

No foul play is suspected.

(Owen County, Ky.) - On Friday, March 5 the Kentucky State Police at Post 5 in Campbellsburg received a call from the Owen County Emergency Management advising that a body had been located in the floodwaters in Perry Park. 

KSP troopers and detectives responded to the scene, where they found a male later identified as 32-year-old Travis Webster, in the water. 

Kentucky Fish and Wildlife conducted a search of the area the day before and were unable to locate Mr. Webster. The Owen County Coroner arrived on the scene and pronounced the male subject deceased.  No foul play is suspected. 

The Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by the Owen County Sheriffs Office, The Kentucky River Fire Department, Owen County Rescue, and the Owen County Coroner.  The case remains under investigation by The Kentucky State Police Post 5.
