Kentucky State University Refunding Students Among Coronavirus Outbreak

Those students who were set to graduate or are transferring schools will be receiving their check by mail.

(Frankfort, Ky.) – Kentucky State University said due to the coronavirus, they will be refunding portions of students’ housing and meal expenses.

The university said students whose housing is not covered by institutional aid will receive a 25% refund which will be applied toward their accounts for the fall semester.

Those students who were set to graduate or are transferring schools will be receiving their check by mail.

The graduation that was originally scheduled for May 8, is being postponed for the time being, the university stated that they will hold graduation ceremonies when the governor says it is safe for them to do so.

KSU also said that they are in the works of establishing a KSU Cares initiative to distribute federal COVID-19 relief funds to students.
