The arrest came as a result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children Investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering Franley directing a minor to produce and send nude images online.

The investigation resulted in a search warrant at a residence in Erlanger on February 27. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination, where the investigation is still ongoing.

Franley currently has been charged with one count of promoting a minor in a sexual performance. This Class-B felony charge is punishable by ten to twenty years in prison. Franley was lodged in the Kenton County Detention Center.
