 
                            Hillsborough County, Florida
At approximately 7 p.m. Wednesday evening, Kentucky State Police Post 5 Troopers arrested a man wanted for multiple counts of Murder out of Florida.
McKinsie A. Lyons, a 39 year old male from Florida, was arrested by Troopers on a warrant issued by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. The warrant was issued in connection to a burglary turned homicide that occurred in Hillsborough County, Florida on January 24, 2018. The incident resulted in the death of an adult male and a female, with the female being approximately five months pregnant at the time of her death. This ultimately led to the death of her unborn child.
Lyons was located and arrested at a Valero Gas Station in Ghent, KY after Kentucky State Police Post 5 received information of his possible whereabouts. Lyons was arrested without incident and was taken to the Carroll County Detention Center where he awaits extradition for his alleged crimes out of Florida. Lyons was not charged with any new crimes out of Kentucky, only the execution of his extraditable warrant.
Kentucky State Police Post 5 was assisted on scene by the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.
