(Jefferson County, Ind.) - With schools being closed many programs are doing what they can in order to help the kids who are in need of meals.
Lide White Boys and Girls Club is now joining the meal program, this is a free program for children who are ages 18 and under. Families who would like to take part in this program do not have to apply, register, or provide identification. They just simply show up to one of the nine food pick up locations.
The first delivery will begin on Wednesday, April 8. Regular rotation will then begin Monday, April 13.
The club isn’t just offering the sack lunches but emotional and social connections while still practicing social distancing. Fun, engaging, and educational packets to help with the restlessness will also be available.
The club will also be offering support and resource information for parents and guardians.
Also, participants who attend each day will have their names placed in a drawing for a family meal from local businesses.

- Monday, Wednesday, Friday
- 10:30- 10:45 a.m.
- Location: in front of 3275 N. Quail Ln.

- Location: Mockingbird cul-de-sac
Madison Village

- Location: In front of the playground

- Location: The shelter house on the corner of Taft and Kennedy
