RAN FROM OFFICERS
On November 25, 2021 shortly after midinight, Jefferson County Reserve Deputy Conover observed a vehicle that matched the description of a suspect's vehicle from an incident on Novemebr 24th. As Deputy Conover attempted to verify the vehicle's plate, the driver of the vehicle rapidly accelerated in an attempt to evade Law Enforcement.
Deputy Conover chose not to continue to pursue the vehicle. A short time later, the vehicle ran off the roadway causing a property damage accident.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Lennon Perry (19 y/o) of Madison, IN. Perry was taken into custody and initially charged with Resisting Law Enforcement (Level 6 Felony), Possession of Marijuana over 30 grams (A- Misdemeanor), and Reckless Driving (A-Misdemeanor).
The Madison Police Department, KDH EMS, Madison Water Dept. and Duke Energy assisted in this incident.
