Madison Pediatric Wellness Center, a first of it’s kind wellness center for children in Madison, Indiana, is opening it’s doors to the public this week. Madison Pediatric Wellness Center (MPWC) is located at 311 E Clifty Drive. Founded by Dr. Matthew McRoberts, MPWC is a pediatric practice offering comprehensive medical care to children in Jefferson and surrounding counties in southeastern Indiana. Dr McRoberts said “There is an incredible need for all kinds of services for children in this area, and MPWC aims to be a crucial part of meeting those needs and partnering with area social service agencies to help children and families.” Current offerings include:
well child and teen visits
sick visits
vaccinations
asthma care
ADHD care
concussion management
obesity care and more
Future offerings will include mental health services, peer support groups, autism screening and diagnosis, healthy cooking classes, weight lifting/fitness classes and more.
MPWC’s providers are Dr. Matthew McRoberts, Dr. Diamond Harris, Aaron Carlson, PA, and Morgan Liter, NP. MPWC has a goal of expanding and adding more providers in the future.
MPWC is guided by a deep belief in the worth and dignity of all children and families, and our values are built on a foundation of putting children’s needs first. MPWC will be open to all children and their families.
The wellness center is a long-held dream of the McRoberts family that has been brought to fruition in the wake of the death of their 11 year old daughter, Caroline. Caroline fought an aggressive brain cancer for seven years until she passed away in December 2024. The McRoberts family learned so much from Caroline and her fighting spirit that they intend to share with the community: the importance of making a medical space comfortable, beautiful and sensory friendly, of giving children agency and choice in medical decision making whenever possible, and of caring for the family as a whole. MPWC is born out of those lessons and out of a desire to improve access to care for the entire community.
We invite the community to celebrate with us at an Open House
Date: November 22
Time: 12-4pm
Food, bouncy houses (weather permitting), face painting, crafts, and other activities for children, as well as tours of the clinic will help to open the center making medicine more friendly for children and families.
