Madison Police Arrest Hanover Man On Drug Charges

Significant amount of cash and drugs found

Thursday June 2, 2022, at approximately 3:45 PM Madison Police arrested Brelyn Short 19, Hanover, Indiana, on several felony drug charges. 

The arrest of Short is the result of an investigation led by Madison Police Officer Cameron Blankenship.  As a result of Officer Blankenship's investigation, Short was found to be in possession of a significant amount of fentanyl laced pills, known as "M-30's or Perc 30's". 

In addition, Short possessed a significant amount of cash and paraphanailia associated with the use of drugs. 

Brelyn Short faces preliminary alleged charges of; dealing a narcotic drug level 3 felony, possession of a narcotic drug level 5 felony, and obstruction of justice level 6 felony.  Short has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.  Madison Police Officers Captain Richard Mundt and Patrol Officer J.D. Sweet assisted.
