(Madison,Ind.) - On April 13, Madison Police arrested Shibhan K. Crooks 36, Madison, on various drug related charges.
Patrolman Cameron Blankenship pulled Crooks over for a vehicle equipment violation in the 500 block of Clifty Drive. A check of Crooks' driving status found that she was operating a motor vehicle without a valid drivers license. In addition to the driving status issues, a juvenile in the vehicle was not properly restrained.
Patrolman Brad Demaree and his K-9 partner "Champi" arrived on scene and conducted an open air sniff of the vehicle in which Crooks was operating. "Champi" gave his handler a positive indication for the presence of narcotics. During the subsequent search of the passenger compartment, officers located methamphetamine and paraphernalia associated with the use of drugs.
Shibhan Crooks was transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
