Marijuana, Cash And Alcohol Found During Traffic Stop

Around 2:38 yesterday (Wednesday) morning, a Madison Police officier observed a black SUV traveling east on Vaughn Drive at a high rate of speed.

The officer conducted a traffic stop at Vaughn and West streets and during the stop, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Madison K9, Zimo, conducted an open air sniff and had a positive indication of marijuana.

A search of the vehicle located 38 grams of marijuana, over $2,800 in cash and several open alcohol containers.

The driver, 21-year-old Skyler Stidham of Madison was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of marijuana, OWI and OWI endangerment.
