Milton Fire & Rescue Remind Residents Of Outdoor Burning Laws

Before conducting any outdoor burning, citizens should check with their local fire department and county governments to find out about restrictions and local ordinances.

(Milton, Ky.) – Milton Fire and Rescue is reminding residents that during fire seasons, it is illegal to burn anything within 150 feet of any woodland or brushland.

Between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., it is illegal to burn near the two areas listed above.

Before conducting any outdoor burning, citizens should check with their local fire department and county governments to find out about restrictions and local ordinances.

Currently, Spring Forest Fire Hazard Season is February 15 to April 30, and Fall Forest Fire Hazard Season is October 1 to December 15.
