MPD Arrest One On Multiple Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

This incident occurred on Saturday, September 5.

(Madison, Ind.) – On Saturday, September 5, Officers with the Madison Police Department arrested Makeesha L. Harris, 23, of Madison on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop.

During the traffic stop conducted by Madison Police Patrolman Cameron Blankenship, Harris was found to have false vehicle registration.

Officers also detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle which then led to a search.

Harris was arrested for dealing in methamphetamine (level 4 felony), and possession of methamphetamine (level 6 felony).

Harris has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
