(Madison, Ind.) - On June 8, at approximately 4:33 p.m. Madison Police responded to a property damage accident at the intersection of Michigan Road and Hillcrest Drive.
Joshua Browning, 39, of Canaan was traveling north bound on Michigan Road when he left the roadway. The driver stated he swerved to miss a dog, lost control, and struck a utility pole at the corner of the intersection.
As a result, the pole snapped in two places and fell into Michigan Road. The power in the area was interrupted, and Michigan Road was closed to thru traffic, for close to eight hours.
Captain Bruce Heaton Investigated the mishap and reported no injuries.
The City of Madison Street Department Assisted.
