NKY Woman Charged in Same Case That Landed Husband Behind Bars

Shaun and Carleena Webb are facing Criminal Abuse charges.

(Walton, Ky.) - On Monday afternoon, Boone County Sheriff's Office detectives arrested Carleena Webb and charged her with one count of Criminal Abuse 1st Degree. 

The charge stems from the same investigation that led to the arrest of her husband, Shaun Webb. 

Through the investigation, detectives determined that Carleena Webb observed her daughter 
being abused on camera and returned home from work to confront her husband. However, 
detectives learned that after confronting Shaun Webb, she went back to work and 
allowed the children to remain solely in his care.

Additionally, detectives confirmed that Carleena Webb did not seek medical treatment for her daughter despite the obvious physical abuse she had witnessed on the camera, nor did she report the abuse to the proper authorities as required by statute.

Carleena Webb is currently lodged at the Boone County Jail. As of this writing, no bond has 
been set.

Her husband, Shaun, has been charged with 10 counts of Criminal Abuse 1st Degree.
