Two thefts were reported in the early morning of December 31.

(North Vernon, Ind.) – The North Vernon Police Department is currently working on two thefts that were reported on December 31.
The first started with officers responding to an alarm shortly before 6:00 a.m. at the Orshchelns in North Vernon on State Road 3. Upon arrival, Sergeant Todd Beam located a front window that had been broken to gain entry into the building.
It was found that the suspect(s) stole Dewalt battery operated tools and tool accessory packs (reciprocating saw blade set, drill bit sets, etc.)
The second theft was reported at around 8:00 a.m. when officers were called to the apartment construction site on State Road 7 just north of Highway 50. Officer Matt Staples arrived on the scene where he was told that a lock had been cut off a storage trailer at the site.
The suspect(s) stole a large, gas-operated demolition saw from the trailer.
